“If you think you are enlightened, go spend a week with your family.” This quote by Ram Dass captures the bottom line of family difficulties that are so deeply rooted in the psyche. This session explores concepts relating to belonging, emotional ties, nurturing, loyalty and our deepest karmic roots. In this session we will explore: -why family matters can feel so heavy and personal -how to create space from narratives that a source of pain and suffering -ways to develop awareness and to shift patterns that result in predictable conflicts and reactive patterns. -balancing acceptance and compassion with assertiveness and boundaries. No matter how difficult or unfair your experience has felt, the weight bearing effects of unresolved family issues can only be lifted when we loosen our emotional ties.
